The B Corp Certification Process
B Corp: how long does it take, and what’s involved?

To get certified you need to reach a minimum of 80 points in the B Impact Assessment (BIA) framework. It’s a great tool designed by B Corp but it is also overwhelming at first and easy to get it wrong. Questions are complex and nuanced so misinterpreting it can set you back. 

Achieving a score of at least 80 points takes a lot of work. Very few businesses have all the policies in place, and almost no one has a proper employee handbook.

Time is of the essence. The criteria for certification is only going to expand starting January 2025 and with new legislation requiring businesses to be third-party verified for all sustainability claims, this is essential for compliance.
